Today mom has decided it is time to try tethering. I am not all that happy about it, but there’s not much I can do. Mom says there are a few reasons for this new “thing”, 1. I have been eating the couch cushion. 2. I jump up on everyone way too much. 3. The kitties would like to have time with mom and dad too, and with tethering, they might be able to come into the living room more often, and I will have to learn to deal with it without going nuts.
So far, I have been tethered for about 10 minutes. Mom brought me my pillow, food and water, and my toys, including a new one, to which I have already torn a hole in it and pulled out some stuffing, because that is what I do best.
I guess mom got this
crappygreat idea after teaching me to walk on a leash. I have walked on a leash many times before, like when we go out for a ride in the car and when we go to the toy store. But mom says I need to learn to behave while I am on the leash, it’s not like I can running away, I am tied to her, but whatever! I walked around the living room for like 10 minutes, and I did really well according to mom, but I just wanted treats! Mom then took me outside to try it out there, but it was a bit windy and I couldn’t concentrate on anything but all the smells blowing around me, so mom brought me back inside and tied me to the door.
It’s been about 20 minutes on the door now, and I am just laying on my bed, playing with my new toy. We’ll see how I do after a longer period of time. The good thing, mom is sitting on the couch a few feet away and the wall is turned on, so I am not alone, and I’m ok with this tethering thing….for now!
